‘Aiyar Shouldn’t Have Appeared On Pak TV Show With Saeed’

The Congress on Friday disapproved of Rajya Sabha member and party leader Mani Shankar Aiyar appearing on a Pakistan TV talk show, in which alleged 26/11 attack mastermind Hafiz Saeed also participated through a video link. “I certainly think propriety would require that such situation should be avoided… unless trapped in a situation,” party spokesperson Abhishek Manu Singhvi said. He added that though Aiyar was not supporting Saeed, “Even the perception of interaction with somebody accused of such heinous crimes like 26/11…. is not acceptable”.
