2G: Sonia Will Be Targeted Next, Says Swamy

Janata Party President and petitioner in the 2G scam Subramanian Swamy has said that his fight to bring out those guilty in the scam is an open challenge. “I have produced enough evidence. The court has to take decision on three matters,” Swamy said ahead of the 2G hearing on Thursday.

Targeting Chidambaram, Swamy said, “I would advise Chidambaram to bring reforms and improve, even the biggest criminals have become priests.”

Swamy also suggested that after Chidambaram, UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi will also be targeted. “After this Sonia Gandhi would be targeted, she took 60 per cent of the money,” Swamy alleged.

Swamy also said that he wasn’t convinced with the CBI probe in the 2G scam. “The CBI investigation has not acquired confidence,” Swamy said.

The Supreme Court is set to to deliver its judgement on former finance minister and Home Minister P Chidambaram’s role in the scam. Swamy, in his plea, has said that Chidambaram is a co-accused in the scam and should be probed.

The court will also decide on Swamy’s plea for cancellation of 2G licences allotted to the tainted companies.

Lastly, the Supreme Court is also likely to pass an order on whether a Special Investigation Team (SIT) should oversee the CBI probe in the scam.
