I-T Raids On Ponty Chadha’s Premises Continue For Day Two

The income tax (I-T) department’s search operation at leading Uttar Pradesh businessman Gurdeep Singh Chadha alias Ponty Chadha’s premises continued for the second consecutive day on Thursday.
According to sources, the I-T department has seized several important documents. It also claimed to have found papers pertaining to a secret mining lease allotted to Chadha by the Uttar Pradesh government.
However, despite the claims of massive cash haul from the basement of a Noida mall, Chadha — considered a close aide of UP Chief Minister Mayawati — refuted reports that Rs.100 crore was seized.
